ELDERBERRIES
This group of retired and foot loose adults loves to travel, play dominoes, eat, visit our shut ins, and just plain fellowship in Christian environments.
Some of us like to be challenged and made to think; some of us like to sit on a bench, eat an ice cream cone and let the world go by. We're made up of all kinds of folks - we just need you to join us so we can be complete.
Game Day - 1st Tuesdays, 1:00 (when it's too cold to play
golf)
Potluck and Program - 2nd Tuesdays, 11:00
Shut-in Visits - 4th Tuesdays, 1:00
Mystery Trips - Who knows???
The Elderberry Poem
We are called the Elderberries
From the Malesus UMC
That's our place of worship
In Jackson, Tennessee.
We all love to travel
By bus, by boat, by plane
After that first trip to Branson,
We never were the same.
Of all the miles we travel
On a short or longer trip
It's not so much the destination
As it is the fellowship.

We love church potluck suppers
And find desserts a treat.
It's not only that we eat to live,
We also live to eat.
When we get together
Every elderberry Knows
Someone is sure to question
"Where are the dominoes?"
Yes, we like to party
And sometimes let down our hair.
But we are always mindful
Of God's love and care.
